We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) for the following:

‘I would like to request a copy of any internal guidance and/or policies issued to case workers (other than that published on the Home Office website) on dealing with applications for extension of leave to remain which are submitted late. In particular, any guidance on whether an application which meets all the requirements should be refused merely because it is late.’
