How many tests were conducted and passed in 2010/11, 2011/12 and 2012/13 by gender?
Response
We publish the number of car practical driving test conducted and passed by gender and test centre on our website. You can find this information up until 31 December 2012 at Car driving test data by test centre. This information is therefore exempt under section 21 (information accessible by other means) of the FoIA. A copy of this exemption in full can be found attached at Annex A.
You also asked for this information for January, February and March 2013; this information is due to be published on 27 June and will be available on our website at the link above. This information is exempt from release under section 44 (1)(a) (prohibitions on disclosure) by virtue of the Pre-release Access to Official Statistics Order 2008 which limits access to official statistics until their date of publication. As this exemption is an absolute exemption we are not required to conduct a public interest test. A copy of this exemption in full can be found at Annex B.
