Cambs Farms Growers Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Cam and Ely Ouse catchment.
The application is to vary a full licence to abstract water as follows:
- 70 cubic metres an hour
- 700 cubic metres a day
- 46,801 cubic metres a year
- between 1 March and 31 July inclusive in each year
- at 4 reaches between TL 67780 78980 and TL 68180 78530, TL 68070 78650 and TL 68480 78840, TL 68560 78710 and TL6857079240, TL6812079750 and TL6865079150.
- from abstraction location Un-named drains within the South Level System at Mildenhall and Lakenheath
The water will be used for Trickle Irrigation Direct.
