Buckinghamshire College Group has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the underground strata comprising of River Terrace Deposits/New Pit Chalk Formation within two abstraction areas at Aylesbury College, Oxford Road, Aylesbury. The first area is within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following National Grid References (NGRs): SU 86008 93335, SU 86060 93342, SU 86063 93328 and SU 86013 93316. The second area is within the boundary formed by straight lines running between the following NGRs: SU 86150 93349, SU 86183 93313, SU 86167 93296 & SU 86142 93330.
The application is to abstract water as follows:

20 cubic metres an hour

471 cubic metres a day

171,696 cubic metres a year

between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year.
The water will be used for dewatering for construction.
