This ‘Part 1 report’ sets out the conclusions and recommendations of the independent triennial review of the British Transport Police Authority. The authority is the non-departmental public body that oversees the British Transport Police which is responsible for policing the rail and other networks.
Part 1 of the review has considered the continuing need for the BTPA’s functions and the case for it to remain a non-departmental public body. The review has looked at the control and governance arrangements in place to ensure that the BTPA is complying with recognised principles of good corporate governance.
