The BSL Advisory Board is a non-statutory board of predominantly BSL users which was formed to advise the government on matters of importance to Deaf people and on the implementation of the BSL Act.

The purpose of the terms of reference is to define the role of the BSL Advisory Board. It details the responsibilities and authority afforded to each board member, and to the board as a collective, to dispense proper governance throughout the running of the BSL Advisory Board.
