Details

Three complaints made that the union was in breach of its rules relating to its disciplinary procedures. The Certification Officer directed there should be a preliminary hearing to determine whether the complaints had been brought within the statutory time limits and whether the claimant had taken all reasonable steps to resolve the claim by the use of any internal complaints procedure of the union. Shortly before the hearing of this matter two of the three complaints were withdrawn. Following the preliminary hearing the Certification Officer dismissed the remaining complaint for having been brought out of time.
