ITEM 1: Opening

  • Apologies.

  • The Board approved the minutes from the previous meeting.

ITEM 2: Chair’s Update

  • Note that the election is occurring today.

ITEM 3: Executive Director’s Update

  • Update on new staff members joining CDEI.

ITEM 4: Data Sharing Report

  • Update and presentation on the direction of travel for the data sharing report.
  • The Board agreed that the direction of travel for this work is right, and that CDEI should engage in more partnership work to develop data sharing in the public sector in the coming year’s work programme. It was agreed that the draft data sharing report would be shared with the board in writing for final sign-off before being published.

ITEM 5: Communications Update

  • PiH presented on the priority levels she will be attributing to any future publications.
  • She updated on the plans for the delivery and communications plan of the Online Microtargeting report, due to publishing at the start of February 2020.
  • Updating on the plans to publish the AI Barometer and aiming for the first quarter of 2020.
  • Discussion of the possibility of running a CDEI-led conference in London, including the content of each day and what the objectives will be.
  • Update on utilising different methods of communication (e.g. videos, blogs) to ensure that CDEI impact reaches a broad population of people.
