Berkeley flow gauging station

The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement work to the flood defences on Berkeley flow gauging station, Little Avon River, Berkeley Kennels, GL13 9QH (NGR ST68248 98729).

The proposed work will involve the following:

  • stabilisation work to repair and protect the damaged left hand bank
  • a review of the condition and residual life of the right bank concrete retaining wall and recommendation of a preferred repair option

The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The works information is available for review by appointment with the project manager.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, within 28 days of the date of publication of this notice.
