Beaverbrook Holdings Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number TH/039/0032/013 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising of Lower Greensand at Cherkley Court, Mickleham Downs, Surrey at National Grid Reference TQ 17594 54051.

Abstraction is for the purpose of filling a reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation all year.

The variation applied for is to increase the annual abstraction quantity from 48,000 cubic metres to 102,707 cubic metres.

There are no other proposed changes.
