What’s happening
Works to replace the damaged steelworks at the upstream side of Barnwell siphonic weir and installation of tubular piles and a new safety boom immediately upstream of the structure will be taking place.
Please be aware waterborne plant and equipment may be positioned in the watercourse in the Upper Barnwell Lock area at times. This should not impact on navigation, but please take care when in this area and adhere to any instructions given by the contractors on site.
