Please can you tell me the average annual student absenteeism or truancy figures for UK government regions for each of the last 5 years?

Absence information for 2010 to 2011 academic year is published in the ‘Pupil absence in schools in England, including pupil characteristics: 2010/11’ Statistical First Release.

Table 7.1 shows pupil absence by local authority area and government region in England. Absence information for the academic year 2009 to 2010 is published in the ‘Pupil absence in schools in England, including pupil characteristics: 2008 to 2009’ Statistical First Release.

Table 8.1 shows pupil absence by local authority area and government region in England. Absence information for the academic year 2008 to 2009 is published in the ‘Pupil absence in schools in England, including pupil characteristics: 2008 to 2009’ Statistical First Release.

Table 7.1 shows pupil absence by local authority area and government region in England. Absence information for the academic year 2007 to 2008 is published in the ‘Pupil absence in schools in England, including pupil characteristics: 2007 to 2008’ Statistical First Release.
