The Asian Development Bank is a valued partner to the UK in progressing development work in the Asia-Pacific region.

The UK Governor’s written statement was delivered at the Asian Development Bank annual meetings in Tbilisi, Georgia, on 2 to 5 May 2024. It outlines the UK government’s priorities for the coming year relating to:

  • poverty and inequality
  • additional financial capacity
  • climate and mobilising more private finance
