Details

The report makes recommendations on the most effective support for Service personnel in their first 2 years. It shows how:

  • large employers have successfully put English and maths at the heart of their respective recruitment and progression regimes
  • with the right support, significant numbers of employees can be engaged in learning

Part 1 sets the context for the study report, and gives an overview of the provision and impact of literacy and numeracy skills.

Part 2 explains the research methodology, looks at skills within each of the Armed Forces, and gives recommendations.
