Request

How many councils (local planning authorities) have applied for local development orders outside of London since they have been introduced?

Does this include proposals within Portsmouth?

Has Portsmouth City council or a consortium involving the council been granted an award out of the £5 million fund to help prepare a local development order?

Would a local development order allow a neighbourhood plan to be sidestepped if one was prepared and designated by the council?

Disclosure

The Department for Communities and Local Government has released information regarding the number of local development orders and confirmed that none have been received from Portsmouth City council/consortium and no grants have been issued.

Confirmation has also been given regarding the position of local development orders and neighbourhood plans.
