Application by General Council of the Bar to become a licensing authority

Government's response to LSB's recommendation for General Council of the Bar's designation as Licensing Authority.

The government has decided to accept the Legal Services Board’s recommendation that the Lord Chancellor make an order designating the General Council of the Bar as a Licensing Authority for the reserved legal activities of the exercise of a right of audience, conduct of litigation, reserved instrument activities, probate activities and the administration of oaths.
