Details

The Anthony Grainger public inquiry was established by the Home Secretary on the 17 March 2016, to ascertain when, where and how and in what circumstances Anthony Grainger came by his death during a Greater Manchester Police operation, and then to make any such recommendations as may seem appropriate.

The independent report was submitted to the Home Secretary and laid in Parliament on 11 July 2019. The government is considering the inquiry’s recommendations and will respond formally in due course.
