AHVLA is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). The Agency was launched on 1 April 211, following the merger of Animal Health, the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA) and Defra’s Advice Services Team.

This paper was laid before Parliament in response to a legislative requirement or as a Return to an Address and was ordered to be printed by the House of Commons.
