Details of the application

Ancala Water Services (Estates) Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.

The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Torridge and Hartland Streams catchment.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water as follows:

  • 46 cubic metres an hour
  • 217 cubic metres a day
  • 31,132 cubic metres a year
  • between 1 April and 31 March inclusive in each year
  • at National Grid Reference (NGR) SX 58 91
  • from abstraction location surface water

The water will be used for Potable Water Supply.
