Details

The aim of the study was to:

  • identify any countries where the ITT systems were sufficiently similar to the English ITT system
  • determine if teachers trained in those countries should be able to apply directly for qualified teacher status (QTS) in England without needing to do further training

The methodology used to conduct the initial filter and score countries is outlined in the main report.
