Ofsted’s Chief Inspector, Amanda Spielman, wrote to the Public Accounts Committee on 4 December 2018 in response to their request to review the short inspection model to ensure it provides sufficient, meaningful assurance about schools’ effectiveness, and to set out plans for collecting more and better evidence from parents about schools.
