This prison service instruction (PSI) contains guidance for prison staff when allocating prisoners to activities, including:

  • work
  • learning and skills
  • exercise
  • offending behaviour programmes
  • rehabilitation services

It covers setting and sharing the activity programme and describes the factors to consider when allocating prisoners to activities.

This is a current PSI. It came into effect on 28 February 2012.
