We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Could you please provide details of allegations of assault during attempted deportations of failed asylum seekers or illegal immigrants?
I want the most up-to-date figures available for the number of allegations of assault made to Home Office staff.
I want the information available on whether the allegations have been investigated and what the outcome of those investigations were.
If possible, could the figures be broken down according to which escort contractor was involved and where the alleged complaint took place (detention centre, escort van, airport, airplane)?
I also want figures for the numbers of escort custody officers been disciplined or dismissed over such allegations.
