Air Passenger Duty: banding reforms with effect from April 2023
This measure introduces two new destination bands and rates for the tax year 2023 to 2024.

From 1 April 2023, there will be a new domestic band for Air Passenger Duty for flights within the UK and a new ultra-long-haul band covering destinations with capitals located more than 5,500 miles from London.
These changes will support UK air connectivity and align Air Passenger Duty more closely with the UK’s environmental objectives.
