Details

This report was set up to understand:

• the extent and depth to which artificial intelligence (AI) is being adopted and scaled within businesses now, as well as future plans
• to what extent enablers and barriers are influencing businesses’ decisions to adopt and scale AI in their businesses
• the self-reported impact AI adoption has on businesses on a range of metrics, such as productivity

It is the second installation of the government’s AI Adoption Survey series.

The 2025 survey followed the launch of the AI opportunities action plan, the roadmap for government to capture the opportunities of AI to:

• enhance growth and productivity
• create tangible benefits for UK citizens
