This independent impact evaluation is the latest in a series of evaluations that have been conducted on the ATI grant funding programme. The evaluation uses a mixed methods approach of quantitative econometric analysis and qualitative methodologies.

This evaluation explores the short, medium, and long term impacts of the ATI grant funding programme from 2013 to 2024. Specifically, the evaluation focuses on:

  • ATI programme progress
  • direct outcomes and impact on R&D activity
  • development of new aerospace technology
  • collaborations and partnerships
  • international comparisons
