Action 1 – Chief Executive’s Report (FSA 25/03/03) Policy team to provide an update to the Board on Market Authorisations reform to cover the responsibility overlap with other departments on CBD; processes for pre-submission guidance; getting user perspectives on the guidance and setting out next steps. 18 June 2025 Rebecca Sudworth – Complete Paper on Market Authorisations on agenda for June 2025 Board meeting.
Action 2 – Border Target Operating Model – One Year On (FSA 25/03/04) FSA BTOM and Operations teams to engage with Defra officials about the development of a strategic approach to address illegal imports. 18 June 2025 Anjali Juneja - Complete - Initial discussions with Defra and the Home Office about options for adopting a more strategic approach to illegal meat (and other POAO imports) have commenced with further meetings planned on a regular basis.
Action 3 – Foodborne Disease Monitoring (FSA 25/03/05) Paper on wider topic of Foodborne Disease to be brought to Board following the publication of the IID3 report.   Rebecca Sudworth – Complete Board will receive update following IID3, set to report in Q3 2026.
Action 4 – Local Authority Cost-Recovery, Initial Findings and Proposed Way Ahead (FSA 25/03/06) Regulatory Compliance team to bring update on Local Authority Cost Recovery to September or December Board Dec 2025 Nathan Barnhouse – Ongoing RCD are developing the engagement plan for meeting with businesses to understand their views on cost-recovery. We are also working collaboratively with local authorities to identify a series of outline options for cost-recovery that can be tested and appraised. These two activities are happening concurrently, with a view to updating the Board in September or December.
