The Government has announced plans to release enough public land to build up to 100,000 new homes by 2015. As one of the largest owners of public sector land, the National Health Service is quite rightly expected to contribute to this objective. NHS chief executives may wish to consider the points set out in the letter and any actions that can be taken locally to support this initiative.
