The Acas framework document:

  • has been agreed between Acas and BEIS before moving to the Department for Business and Trade, and approved by HM Treasury
  • sets out Acas’s core responsibilities
  • describes the governance and accountability framework that applies between the roles of the department, Acas and other parties
  • explains how the day-to-day relationship between the department and Acas works in practice
