A C Hulme and Sons has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number 9/40/04/0476/G which authorises the abstraction of water from a borehole at National Grid Reference: TR 27130 60190 at Hoaden Court, Canterbury, Kent.
The variation applied for is to:
-
increase the licence total quantity from 111,831 cubic metres (m3) per year to 112,000 m3 per year, and within the licence total quantities of 92 m3 per hour, 1,564 m3 per day and 112,000 m3 per year
-
add the purpose of private water supply for the period of all year with a quantity of 15,000 m3 per year
-
increase the abstraction quantity for the purpose of agriculture other than spray or trickle irrigation from 14,093 m3 per year to 25,000 m3 per year
-
combine the separate quantities for the purposes of spray irrigation and trickle irrigation in to the quantities of 92 m3 per hour, 1,564 m3 per day and 72,000 m3 per year to be shared between both purposes

extend the trickle irrigation purpose abstraction period by 1 month to: 1 March to 31 October inclusive

remove the purpose of transfer for subsequent spray irrigation
-
extend the expiry date that applies to part of the licence.
