We received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the estimated total cost of running the consultation exercise ‘Equal civil marriage: a consultation’, including any preparatory research, print/publication costs, events and analysis of results.
We released the following information on 26 April 2012.
The total cost as of Friday 20 April was £2251. This is broken down as follows:
- the publication of the consultation documents and information sheets cost £1082
- the consultation document was translated into Welsh at a cost of £670
- staff travelling to 6 consultation events at a cost of £349
- hosting of the online consultation has cost £450 to date
