We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following:
Breakdown of who profits from the 15 pence/call when using the 101 number, e.g. does BT get 50% and the particular force the other 50%?
We released the following information on 28 March 2012.
All call charges go to the telephony companies to cover the cost of carrying the call. Police forces do not receive any money.
