We have a received a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following: 

The amount of money received by the Home Office for supplying Attenuating Energy Projectiles (AEPs) to police forces in England and Wales for the financial years 2007/08, 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11 and (up to the most recently available date) the 2011/12

We released the following information on 4 April 2012.

The Ministry of Defence supplies Attenuating Energy Projectiles to the Home Office for police use. The Home Office invoiced police forces in England and Wales for supply of Attenuating Energy Projectiles (AEP) during the period 2007-2011/12:

  • 2007/08: £0.7M
  • 2008/09: £1.2M
  • 2009/10: £1.2M
  • 2010/11: £1.3M
  • 2011/12: £3K

Note that final orders for 2012 delivery are incomplete and we are not able to provide a figure at this time.
