In 2009/10, the Home Office and its agencies paid for technical advice from Waterwise and Carbon Trust to help the department reduce its energy and water costs. A range of measures have now been implemented in consequence, which will contribute to the Home Office reducing its energy usage by 10% this year, in line with the Prime Minister’s commitment.
The payments made to these bodies consisted of £11,750 for Waterwise and £43,933.13 for Carbon Trust. Both of these amounts include VAT.
