Tim Loughton MP

Biography

Tim Loughton served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for for Children and Families from May 2010 to September 2012. He was elected Conservative MP for East Worthing and Shoreham on 1 May 1997.

He was educated at Priory School, Lewes, the University of Warwick and Clare College, Cambridge, where he studied classical civilisation and Mesopotamian archaeology. After leaving Cambridge he worked as a fund manager in the City of London for British merchant bank Flemings, becoming a director in 1992.

He was the Shadow Minister for Children from 2003 to 2010.

Tim is married with 3 children.
