Stephen White

Biography

Stephen White has over 35 years’ experience in and around the policing landscape. From frontline firearms officer to Chief Executive for the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner and Acting Police and Crime Commissioner for almost 2 years, he has extensive knowledge across the sector and its partners.

Stephen also served as Chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, driving reform and change at a time of immense political and public scrutiny. He has served at board and trustee level across numerous policing charities along with roles in the Home Office (frontline policing review) and the College of Policing.

NCARRB Member

Members of the National Crime Agency Remuneration Review Body are responsible for:

  • making recommendations on the pay and allowances of National Crime Agency (NCA) officers designated with operational powers
  • considering written evidence from the Home Office, the NCA, trades unions and other interested parties
  • conducting research on pay and related matters
  • visiting the NCA to meet NCA officers with operational powers and management to gather information and views on pay and related issues

The member of the PRRB is responsible for providing independent advice to the government on pay and conditions for police officers at or below the rank of chief superintendent in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
