Sam Waldock

Biography
Sam Waldock is currently Development Director for the British Deputy High Commission in Islamabad, where he oversees the UK Government’s development partnership and portfolio of development programmes with Pakistan.
He has served as Deputy High Commissioner to Zambia and Development Director since August 2022. Prior to joining the Zambia team, Sam worked at the British High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria as Head of Governance, Stability and Home Affairs. He has also previously worked at the Zambian mission as Governance Specialist from 2011 to 2014. Sam has also been posted in Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.
Development Director, Pakistan
The Development Director in a country has overall responsibility for the running of the the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office development work there, and its programmes.
