Robin Malpas
Biography
Robin graduated in law from University College Wales Aberystwyth. On qualifying as a solicitor in 1989, he joined HM Land Registry.
Robin has worked at several HM Land Registry offices including two stints at Head Office advising on contentious cases. He has extensive experience advising on complex legal issues on land registration applications.
In 2010 Robin completed a Masters Degree in Business Administration at Henley Management College.
Robin has advised on many land registration projects, including registration of parts of the London Underground, Heathrow Terminal 5 and electronic conveyancing.
In 2013 Robin was appointed Local Land Registrar, responsible for the Nottingham office and in 2017 he took up the post of Head of Land Registration Lawyers.
Acting Deputy Chief Land Registrar
The Acting Deputy Chief Land Registrar is responsible for the legal framework for land registration in England and Wales and its administrative application by HM Land Registry. They are also responsible for the provision of legal services related to registration within HM Land Registry.
