Biography
Rob joined the Ministry of Justice as a Lead Non-Executive Board Member on 5 May 2026.
Rob is currently Chair for ReSI PLC (since 2016), Chair of NHS ICB Cluster for NHS Bath & North East Somerset, Wiltshire & Swindon ICB, NHS Dorset ICB and NHS Somerset ICB (since 2025), Treasurer, Council Member and Finance and Investment Committee Chair for Queen Mary University of London (since 2024) and Chair of ARC and Board NED for National Highways (since 2025).

Our Lead Non-executive is a senior figure from outside the department who brings expertise and skills from outside of the department. They:
- support the Secretary of State in their role as Chair of the Board
- give guidance and advice to MOJ leaders and ministers
- support and challenge management on the department’s strategic direction
- provide support in monitoring and reviewing progress
