Peter Webster
Biography
Peter’s career has encompassed extensive leadership and managerial experience of both operational and project activities in the nuclear and coal-fired generation industry over nearly 50 years. It has included the implementation of significant change activities, the development of an effective internal regulation function, and active involvement with international teams and external regulators.
Peter has held Site/Station Director positions at Berkeley, Oldbury and Hartlepool and has been Director of Safety and Regulation for British Energy Generation and a member of the British Energy Generation Limited Board. Since retiring from full-time work, Peter has been operating as a consultant to various organisations in the nuclear sector, including a period as an independent member of the Magnox Nuclear Safety Committee.
Peter is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Magnox.
Peter has an honours degree in Electrical Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of both the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Institutions.
