Biography
Nicola Hirst became interim Service Delivery Director at the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) as a job-share in February 2022. Having a long history in service delivery in APHA, Nicola took up the permanent Service Delivery Director post on 3 January 2023.
Service Delivery Director
The Service Delivery Director is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of APHA’s operational service delivery for animal, plant, and bee health.
This includes oversight of the UK trade and exports in animal and plant products. The Service Delivery Director also has day-to-day management of disease outbreak, coordinating critical national resources and leading the agency’s outbreak response.
