Nick Folland
Biography
Nick Folland joined the HMPPS as a Non-Executive Member of the HMPPS Audit and Risk Assurance Committee on 20 May 2021.
Nick Folland was chief executive of the Crown Prosecution Service between 2016 and 2018. He is also the Senior Independent Member of the Natural Environment Research Council - the UK’s leading public funder of environmental science.
Role
Our Non-executives are senior figures from outside the Agency who bring a diverse mix of expertise and skills from across the public and private sector. They all:
- give guidance and advice to HMPPS leaders
- support and challenge management on the Agency’s strategic direction
- provide support in monitoring and reviewing progress
