Neil Crompton CBE
Biography
Neil Crompton is His Majesty’s Ambassador to Ukraine.
Previously, Neil was Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 2020 to 2025. Before that, he was Director of the Middle East and North Africa Directorate from 2015 to 2019.
Neil joined the FCDO in 1995 as a Senior Research Officer in the Middle East and North Africa Group.
British Ambassador to Ukraine
The Ambassador represents His Majesty The King and the UK government in the country to which they are appointed. They are responsible for the direction and work of the embassy and its consulates, including political work, trade and investment, press and cultural relations, and visa and consular services.
