Monojit Chatterji



Monojit is College Lecturer and Director of Studies in Economics at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and a Fellow at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. He is also Professor of Economics, New College of Humanities, London, and Emeritus Professor of Applied Economics, University of Dundee and Honorary Professor of Economics at Heriot Watt University. He is an established academic with an international profile and public policy experience in the UK with School Teachers Review Body, Welsh Remuneration Board and Speakers Committee for IPSA.

Members of the National Crime Agency Remuneration Review Body are responsible for:

  • making recommendations on the pay and allowances of National Crime Agency (NCA) officers designated with operational powers
  • considering written evidence from the Home Office, the NCA, trades unions and other interested parties
  • conducting research on pay and related matters
  • visiting the NCA to meet NCA officers with operational powers and management to gather information and views on pay and related issues


The member of the PRRB is responsible for providing independent advice to the government on pay and conditions for police officers at or below the rank of chief superintendent in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
