Michael Aron was appointed as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Yemen in February 2018. Prior to this he was Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Sudan from 2015 to 2018.
Michael has extensive experience representing the UK in the Middle East, with previous postings as the British Ambassador to Libya (2012 to 2015) and to Iraq (2011 to 2012) and to Kuwait (2008 to 2009). He was also the Head of Middle East department at Foreign & Commonwealth Office from 2010 to 2011.
