Martin Coleman
Biography
Martin was appointed as a CMA Panel Inquiry Chair and Panel Member in September 2018. His appointment term as CMA Panel Chair and Non-Executive Director of the Board ended on 18 September 2026.
He was a partner and global head of the Competition Law practice at the law firm, Norton Rose Fulbright, serving as a member of the firm’s management group until he retired in 2017. Currently he is the Chair of the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority and the Expert Panel Chair of the Independent Football Regulator. He is also a Quondam Fellow of Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge.
Martin has written and spoken extensively on competition policy matters and was co-author (with Michael Grenfell) of ‘The Competition Act 1998’ (Oxford University Press).
