Louise Cantillon

Biography
Louise Cantillon was appointed as the British High Commissioner to New Zealand and Governor of the Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie & Oeno Islands in 2026.
Her previous roles include:
- British Consul General Sydney and Deputy Trade Commissioner Asia Pacific (Australia & New Zealand)
- Learning Industries for the Department of International Trade based in Shanghai, China
- Head of Infrastructure, Creative and Sports for the Department of International Trade based in Shanghai, China
- Head of Major Projects for the British Council and worked across Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Malaysia
A Chartered Surveyor by background, Louise brings a wealth of international experience in both the public and private sectors to the role.
Other notable past experience includes developing the Helix Park in Scotland that featured the 100ft high award-winning Kelpie sculptures, delivering schools under PPP frameworks and setting up facilities for a UK company in China.
