Liz Cohen
Biography
Liz Cohen was appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Departmental Board and Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee Chair at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) (the department) in April 2024.
Liz is an experienced Non-Executive Director with more than 20 years of work across diverse environments and regions, including established global entities, start-ups, scale-ups, and not-for-profits in the UK, Australia, and United States.
Liz received her law degree from the University of Technology Sydney. She also achieved a Business Administration Masters and a Business and Environmental Management Masters from the University of Newcastle.
Non-executive board member
The main responsibilities of non-executive board members are to:
- attend meetings of the departmental board, chaired by the Secretary of State
- provide over-arching strategic guidance and insight to the department
