Kieron Ogden

Biography
Kieron Ogden was appointed Deputy High Commissioner to Belize in February 2026. He joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 2015, with early roles in the East Africa Department and the Foreign Secretary’s Private Office. His first posting was as a Worldwide Floater, completing short‑term assignments in 16 countries including the USA, Japan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Israel and Afghanistan. Most recently, he served in the FCDO’s National Security and Protocol Directorates.
Deputy High Commissioner, British High Commission Belize
The Deputy Head of Mission is a senior diplomat and typically a key advisor to the Ambassador or High Commissioner. The Deputy is responsible for the daily management of an overseas Embassy or High Commission. They will represent the UK’s interests in the absence of the Ambassador as Chargé d’Affaires. A senior ranking Deputy may also take the title Minister. Smaller missions may not have a Deputy Head.
