John Hewson
Biography
John joined Companies House in November 2025 as Director of Services. He is responsible for ensuring our services are continually improving to meet changing customer needs and expectations and support effective delivery Companies House long term vision and priorities.
John has over 25 years of experience in the Civil Service. He joined from DVLA where he was responsible for improving Driving Licence and vehicle tax services and has extensive experience in delivery of customer facing changes and supporting government led initiatives. His focus has always been on trying to exceed customer expectation and improve services using a wide range of methods to engage with users and stakeholder, understand their feedback and acting on it.
To continue this mission of understanding customers and improving services John will provide strategic leadership to teams across the organisation to bring together all the skill and capability needed to drive forward our customer service offering whilst also ensuring our records become even more robust.
